When the spouses found out, it turned into a real Christmas Party, complete with competitiveness in the "My Lights are bigger then your Lights" campaign! The Christmas Stories abound including a new one just for Valdier, "The Old Dragon of the Mountain". Kids being kids they take the "Old Dragon" story to heart and are soon off on an adventure to find him. Only they did not tell their parents and oh yeah, they are off by THEMSELVES! Frantic parents follow racing to catch up! Add in a Mountain, and an Earthquake, the recipe for disaster is born!
Well developed characters from previous Dragon Lords books, competition, unforeseen twists, and a great story will keep you enthralled til the end. I love Ms Smith books, have read most of them and looked forward to this one eagerly. I was not disappointed! Can't wait to find out what happens to theses bright, talented, kids with special abilities!

This book was late in coming but talk about Christmas in July! To use a favorite Texasism, hot damn that was a good book!

I woke up this morning and couldn't wait to dive in. The Dragons of Valdier are my favorite series by SE Smith. I love her shorts on the dragonlings and this book developed them further and we begin to see an inkling of the future, as well as some friends from the past. Thanks so much for Mel, Calo and Cree and a small mention of their daughter, Hope.

Integrating the human custom of Christmas into the Cease Fire between the three star systems was a good idea. Watching the men try to outdo each other after watching a certain American film dealing with the holiday was inspired. The Old Dragon on the Mountain... tears. I wept buckets. This is such a great book to fill in between the last story and the next one. I now sit on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens with the Dragon, and I demand Asim and Pearl's story. Plus, we never got to see with Paul and Morian with their special Christmas gift. (Does anyone else have trouble with not giving spoilers?)

Even if this is the first Dragon book you pick up, you will easily fall in love with all of the characters and want to see how they got to this moment. Do yourself a favor and read all of the books in all three of the series.

Oh my goodness gracious, the Dragonlings are now mischievous toddlers. They set out to befriend and save the old Dragon in the Mountain in S.E. Smith’s, A Dragonlings Magical Chrimstas! It’s a captivating journey with new and old friendship, bonding and strengthening.

Everyone is gathering for the first time to celebrate Christmas on Valdir. All the dragon lords, their mates, family and friends are joining in on the fun. The competition between them is comical and heart-warming. The hanging of an excessive number of lights causes the palace power grid to be over-taxed. Poor Trelon is still pulling his hair out (its grown some now after his feisty little twins quit sneezing fire at him)! Paul and Morian are expecting their first child, and even the Goddess stops by for a visit with Phoenix.

This is a pleasurable, fun, relaxing read reminding us of the importance of family and friends. It gives a small glimpse at future books that Ms. Smith might write for us too. The budding love between Baliant and Alice and the fortitude of leadership exhibited by Zohran are awe inspiring! Even the hyper twins, Jade and Amber learn a valuable lesson. I truly enjoyed the moments of laughter that I found while reading this short novella. Thank you, S.E. Smith for the fantastic world of the Dragonlings!
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the palace, every dragonling was stirring and up to no good!!! OMG!!! I love, love, love this book! Deliciously cute, devilishly fun, outrageously humorous and delightfully entertaining! A wonderfully written kids' story for us grownups! I can hardly wait until all the dragonlings and their little partners in crime grow up to each have an adventure of their own but for now, we'll settle for another earth holiday, celebrated dragon style!!! Maybe Thanksgiving??!! I wonder who the dragonling "monsters" could find to share their Thanksgiving bounty??? As much as the dragon adult men love eggs, they would surely love a good turkey shoot - earth style!!! Without killing the turkey, of course! LOL...Now that would be a sight for sore eyes! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
I laughed till 80% then cried till 93%. But it was a good cry.
The Dragonling's decide to save Christmas and befriend the Old Dragon of the mountain, so he want be alone any more.
I'm not gonna give any more away because you really need to read and enjoy this as it unfolds with the sweet kids.
In this adventure you will see some strong friendships start to emerge, maybe even some possible future mates!!
My favorite is Ba'lint and Alice....lolol....all I can say is Ha'ven is going to have his hands full!!!
I can't wait to find out how Christoff gets along....hint ...hint....hint...Mrs.Smith!!!
Lord I loved this book and again, was not let down in the least!! S.E. Smith to me belongs up there with writers like Christine Feehan, Jeaniene Frost, J.R. Ward......she like them, is my one-click every time. I was so lucky the day put up three of her books as recommendations for me!!!!
